Before >> little house FOUR

At the same time that we were about to move into what would become Little House Three God spoke to Luke and I separately. He told Luke to move us to Kansas City in a short amount of time, and He told me that He had "just the place" for us. As we moved forward with the Kansas City leading we spent ample time house hunting. Adventure after adventure for months with nothing actually coming together. We took the leap anyway and ended up moving into this place sight-unseen the day we moved to KC. I had scrolled through some of the images of this townhouse on the property manager's website but had passed it by knowing it was out of our budget. When the place we'd applied for wasn't a good fit though the guys offered us this place at a slight discount. Turned out to have been vacant for some time and while the amenities sell it it was dated and worn, as you can see below. WK 3 >> day FIVE

The second bedroom, the spare room, had become my storage space for all the boxes of important items that werent going to be unpacked in this space but hadnt been carried to the basement yet. This space had not been touched yet. 

WK 1 >> day SIX

The stair-well and entry area of my apartment hadn't changed from "day one" except for the addition of the hanging coat hooks and of course the growing pile of recycling. How did I hang coat hooks without a drill? I didn't. My mom came back to town with one -- as well as a car load of items for my pantry. Thank heaven for Momma's.

WK 1 >> day ONE

Having arrived in town after the sunset and, with the help of a few new friends, moved everything in and simply piled it throughout the space, this is how Little House TWO looked on my first morning of calling it "home". The bouquet of flowers from my Daddy was a better gift than a trip to Disneyland and a lasting day-brightener, making the place feel instantly homey. Dad's are the best.
